The Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair is taking place from September 13 to 17, 2012 at Impact Challenger Hall. This is a bi-annual event, in its 50th installment, which is being celebrated as a Golden anniversary.
As an international-class fair showcasing high value gems and jewelry exhibits, there is a fair amount of regulations and security measures in place; such as appropriate dress code, no kids allowed in the exhibition area, no photography or video, etc.
The exhibition is free for Trade visitors (online pre-registration required), while Public visitors have to shell out 100 Baht for a ticket.
The exhibition brings together international jewellery manufacturers, designers, traders, retailers and buyers from over 35 countries at one place; while also promoting Thailand's reputation as a World Gems and Jewelry hub. Over 1,200 exhibitors are expected, and over 35,000 visitors.
This event will also host the first ever ASEAN Gems and Jewelry president's summit, in preparation for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)'s launch in 2015.
