Online shopping services in Bangkok

Protest days in Bangkok are fraught with uncertainties, and therefore shopping in the central commercial areas near the rally sites is not very wise.  However, there is no dearth of online shopping sites to make up for this.

Central has its online shopping site at www.central.co.th where you can buy anything from clothes, shoes, lingerie, perfumes, cosmetics to hair curlers, bakeware, and many other home electronics and kitchenware.  There's free shipping to anywhere in Thailand on purchases of over Baht 499, else a 50 Baht charge will apply. Several payment channels are available including online credit card, cash on delivery, credit card on delivery, Paypal, bank transfer, etc.  Delivery for Bangkok and surrounding provinces is within the next working day after purchase; while outside this zone it will take 3-5 days.

Tesco Lotus has online shopping services at shoponline.tescolotus.com. Currently their delivery areas include Bangkok, Chiangmai and Chon Buri.  Delivery times need to be booked as a 2 hour time slot, with the earliest available time on the next day of purchase.  Payment can be made by credit card or debit card, online or on delivery, and service charges vary according to area.

Big C online shopping is at shoppingonline.bigc.co.th with options for self pick-up or delivery.  For Bangkok, no charges apply for purchases of over Baht 1,500, with delivery within 1-2 days.  Cash payment option is available for less than Baht 2,000 amount, over which credit card or debit card is mandatory.  Some more conditions apply for orders outside of Bangkok.

Tops supermarket also has online shopping services at www.tops.co.th with free delivery for orders over Baht 999.  Besides Bangkok, they have delivery services in Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Khon Kaen.  Payment is by cash or credit card on delivery, or by online credit card.  Delivery is on same day for orders placed before 1 pm, or by next day.

Makro Online Shopping is at www.makroclick.com, but is a self-pickup service, with delivery reserved for appliances worth over 5,000 baht for locations near the Mall branches.  Payment is by credit card only.

We Love Shopping, a popular local service for shopping from home www.weloveshopping.com is a network of independent retailers and wholesalers selling online, with each having their own payment modes and delivery services.  A wide variety of products range from fashion clothing and accessories, baby clothes and toys, cosmetics, electronics, appliances and many more.
