The 44th Annual Diplomatic Red Cross Bazar is on during the weekend of February 26 - 27, 2011 at the Royal Paragon Hall on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon. Co-organized by the wives of diplomatic corps members and the Thai Red Cross Society, the fair will feature signature products from over 50 embassies in Thailand, stage shows including mini concerts from KPN and AF artists, raffle tickets with big prizes (air tickets, hotel stay vouchers, etc), fun games and activities, etc. Proceeds will be used for charitable projects run by the Thai Red Cross Society.
This event is a wonderful chance to find a wide range of specialties of many countries at bargain prices, such as French perfumes and wines, Norwegian salmon, Swiss watches, Indonesian batik textiles, Indian traditional clothes and accessories, Korean ginseng and other foodstuffs, and of course, not-to-mention several quality products from the US of A. New members Mongolia and Ukraine will also present their native products.
The opening ceremony on Saturday is at 9 am with HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presiding over. The fair is open to the public from 12 noon to 8 pm on Saturday, and 10 am - 8 pm on Sunday. The entrance ticket is priced at 50 Baht and includes an entry for the raffle lucky draw.
